Issuers

Entities who issue a VC

Verifiers

Entities who verify the received presentations from the owner.

Owners

The owner receive VC from Issuers. He’s the one who control the data contains inside the VC. He’s able to generate presentations from this data.

Nano

A Nano is a Verifiable Credential, a certificate or digital twin issued by the NanoTrust platform.

Profile

A Profile is your digital identity. Entity has as many Profiles as they have facets. A Profile is what signs or receives a VC.

VC

Verifiable credentials (VCs) are digital documents that can be used to prove a person’s or organization’s identity or provide evidence of a particular attribute or qualification. VCs are issued by a trusted issuer, and can be verified by anyone who has access to the issuer’s public key. VCs are stored in a digital wallet and can be presented to other parties.

DID

The DID is the unique identifier that is generated when creating your profile within Nanotrust. Its encoding follows the rules of protocols related to controlled identities (Self-Sovereign Identity or SSI) defined worldwide by the W3C. This DID can be used outside of Nanotrust.

JSON-LD

JSON-LD (JavaScript Object Notation for Linking Data) is a lightweight, JSON-based format for representing and linking data on the web. It is designed to be easy to use and integrate with existing web technologies, and to be flexible and extensible enough to support a wide range of data models and use cases.

Wallet

A wallet is a secure storage application for digital assets potentialy linked to a blockchain. In order to facilitate access to secure documents issued via the NanoTrust platform, Nanotrust provides entities with its own web wallet.
